Resilient Communities

Urban Agriculture

Cities need green space, and urban farms are one way to integrate the urban and the natural. Urban farms are also a great business opportunity for farmers wanting to grow fresh food for their communities.

Urban agriculture is an effective way to reduce food miles, producing fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and sometimes even meat within the communities that need them. Urban production does come with unique challenges, and NCAT is here to help farmers overcome those urban-ag-specific issues, such as space limitations or soil contamination, in order to succeed.
