The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health, a program of the Department of Health and Human Services, will fund weed management research through Systems for Tracking and Resilience in Efficient Agricultural-input Management (STREAM). This program will fund projects focused on discovery of new herbicide active ingredients and biologicals using artificial intelligence, precision and non-chemical weed management technologies, improvements in herbicide monitoring, and methods to break down and reduce herbicide residue. STREAM encourages experts from agricultural and weed sciences, artificial intelligence and machine learning, advanced chemistry, drone development, and other related fields to collaborate in teams that can address these complex objectives.
