Internship information
General Farm Description: We grow vegetables, berries, and cut flowers which we direct market to our community through our CSA, farm stand, 2 weekly farmers markets, and flower sales for weddings and events. We are located 20 minutes outside Asheville. We are in our 17th CSA season, and it has been 20 years since we planted our blueberries and had our first 1/2 acre garden. We work together full time on the farm with our crew to bring our produce to the community.CRAFT Member Farm? Yes

Internship Details:
We hire up to six people who live and work on the farm. We have various living quarters, from school buses, to individual cabins, to rooms in a cabin. There are two shared kitchens, showers, and bathrooms. Our schedule is generally 7:30 to 5:30 Monday and Wednesday, 7-5 Tuesday and Friday, and 7:30 to 1 Thursday and Saturday. We are seeking 2 great individuals to join our team in August, to work through the end of October. We provide internet access, washer and dryer, and food from the farm. We start at $150/week with a $100 food stipend per month.
Educational Opportunities: We are open to answering questions while we work together. We have a good library of farm related books, that you are welcome to read. We are also members of the local CRAFT chapter that has monthly potlucks and farm tours focusing on different subjects.
Skills Desired: Good attitude and sense of humor.
Meals: We have a cooked lunch on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We rotate preparing the food.
