General Farm Description: "We are a nationally recognized USDA certified organic market farm growing vegetables, small fruit and grains using modern mechanized scale appropriate equipment, high tunnels and farm production systems. We sell our products at a local farmers' market, local area grocery stores, caterers, bakers, DC & Baltimore restaurants and other farm's CSAs. Educational Opportunities: "Benefits - You will learn skills to manage a small-scale organic vegetable operation on a modern, mechanized, diverse and profitable market farm - Free produce, fruit and grains for your own use - 40 hrs of paid time-off per year and a year-end bonus - Opportunities for increased responsibility, long-term employment and partnership. Compensation - $12 - $15.00/hour depending on experience (DOE) - Housing is available "
Skills Desired: "Crew Members will work alongside the Farmer/Owner, The Farm Manager and other employees on a wide range of tasks including: Harvesting, washing, packaging; Transplanting; High tunnel production; Greenhouse seeding; Record-keeping; Farm Maintenance; Cultivating; Disease and pest scouting; irrigation management and Farmers' Market assistance (1-3 times per month)."
Meals: Meals are on own with access to farm produce.
Stipend: Compensation - $12.00 - $15.00/hour depending on experience (DOE)
