Internship Details:
Looking for one-two people who could take over operation of market garden; owner has been ill and can no longer manage farm; would like capable person(s) who could manage market garden and eventually take over production and sales, sharing in profits. We have two local markets and a co-op we could join; garden growing area can be expanded; challenges as Salamander Springs is off-the-grid, and much work to be done as owner has been ill and away from operation.
Educational Opportunities: Partner with Georgia College and State University, only fifteen minutes from the farm, on many educational projects; also would like to increase workshops on the farm
Skills Desired: Need to be knowledgeable in organic growing and production for local markets; enthusiastic, hard-working, self-motivated organizer who works well with others and genuinely loves the sustainable lifestyle.
