We focus on soil health and growing amazing produce. The farm has been in business since 2006.CRAFT Member Farm? No

Internship Ends: 11/1/2022
Number of Internship Available: 2
Application Deadline: Until positions are filled
Minimum Length of Stay: full season 5/1/22-11/1/22
Internship Details:
Employees take part in almost every aspect of the farm. This includes starting crops in the greenhouse, doing field prep, direct seeding crops, harvest, post harvest handling, and attending farmers markets each week. A position on the farm is perfect for those with a strong interest in farmers markets and direct sales. While working on the farm you will gain invaluable experience with tractors, manual farm tasks, and with customer interactions at the markets.
Educational Opportunities: There is no formal education provided, but because employees work on most aspects of the farm, there is a lot of experience to be gained here. Think of an experience working on a farm like this as "flight time".
Skills Desired: Experience is a plus, but not as important as a good attitude, an ability to appreciate others, a friendly demeanor, and a willingness to work hard and care about outcomes.
Meals: Not strictly, though depending, we may share lunch making responsibilities on work days. Some dry staples (beans and rice, etc) are provided, as well as vegetables from the farm.
Stipend: $2500/month plus housing and a few food staples. This is roughly $15/hour not including the value of housing.
Housing: Housing is provided in the town of Frederic, 3 miles from the farm. There is no rent deducted from paychecks, but housing is strictly tied to employment. This house is equipped, has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a nice kitchen, laundry, and WiFi. It is near a lake, a park and is close to downtown.
