General Farm Description: Bloom Hill Farm is a 11 acre specialty cut flower farm that grows flowers March - December.

Internship Details:

Position will be Monday – Friday 8AM-4PM, with some Saturdays as needed for markets. Position will begin full time in April through November with part time hours available in March and December.

Tasks will include: transplanting, weeding, daily harvest, processing (stripping stems and grading), and cleaning/maintenance of the farm, bouquet making, limited design work, all dependent on qualifications.

-Be a trustworthy, hardworking individual

-Self motivated to move quickly and complete tasks with efficiency

-Have a good attitude and willingness to try new tasks

-Be willing to get dirty and have the physical and mental stamina to work outside in sometimes unfavorable weather conditions

-Be extremely reliable

-Work under time restrictions while always considering efficiency as a main goal

-Be a welcoming, kind and happy face when customers come to pick up flowers/floral orders

-Lift 30 lbs easily and have the ability to be bent over for periods of time

Ideal candidates will have 1 year farming experience or comparably, had a job in a face paced, team oriented setting.

Educational Opportunities: This internship would be an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of growing and designing flowers.
