Internship information

General Farm Description: We are located in Malaga, Wa, approximately 5 miles from Wenatchee, Wa. We grow over 50 different varieties of Certified Organic annual vegetables on an acre of wonderfully rich sandy Loam. We are working to transform these 5 acres of open space into a dynamic, healthy, edible landscape. With the integration of row crops, perennial patches, insectaries, an herb and tea garden, pasture, and a mixed orchard, we hope to create a piece of paradise full of abundance to share with our community. We have a long way to go but each year we take on a new project to continue to nurture this land we have been blessed with.

Internship Details:

We are hiring up to two full or part time time, paid positions.  Come for a couple months or the full season!  You will be involved in all aspects of on-farm work: planting, cultivating, harvesting, produce washing, CSA packing, weeding, cultivating, trellising, pruning, and more.  You also have the opportunity to work at the farmers market and visit other farms in the area throughout the season.  There are endless opportunities for you to contribute your skill set to the farm and to learn new things!

Educational Opportunities: W are offering a paid position where you will learn farm tasks by doing, with in-the-field training. We love sharing skills and knowledge, so ask questions and learn through experience and conversation! You will have access and opportunities to learn more through reading, participating in lunch conversations, and visiting other farms. Our ideal applicants are those who want to become farmers!

Skills Desired: No farm experience is required.
