Internship Details:
Farm manager(s) – in search of someone, or a couple, who is creative and entrepreneurial. Must have excellent understanding of, and experience with, organic farming practices. Applicant(s) must be able to work with me to create and execute a business plan. This includes creation of a full site plan, installation of beds and/or pens as appropriate and then to be primarily responsible for all farm operations and labor, with labor assistance (10-60 hours per week) from the property owner (me). I view this as a multiyear commitment and partnership. 1880s farmhouse on property is charming and has parking but in need of some minor upgrades – handy-person skills a big plus.
Educational Opportunities: I am experienced in financial analysis and planning and am happy to impart those skills.
Skills Desired: Ability to fully manage a small farm operation. Any handy-person skills (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc) a plus.
Meals: No
Stipend: Can be discussed
Housing: Yes, for the right applicant(s).
Preferred method of Contact: email
