Internship information
General Farm Description: The Potato Homestead is a 5 acre no-spray garden. We do not use any pesticides, herbicides, GMOs, chemicals, plastic mulches, or other wasteful or harmful farming practices. We grow mixed vegetables, fruit, and herbs for farmers markets, veg box subscriptions, and a few small wholesale accounts.CRAFT Member Farm? Yes

Internship Details:
Responsibilities mainly include harvesting, washing, and packing produce and attending farmers markets. Other duties may occasionally include light weeding, transplanting/seeding, preserving, etc. Scheduling is flexible but typically 7am-3pm on farm days, 6am-2pm on market days. Pay starts at $15/hr plus profit sharing, and all the veggies you can eat. Candidate must have valid drivers license.
Educational Opportunities: We are willing to share any and all aspects of farm business for interested candidates. We encourage our crew to attend CRAFT tours and offer time off to do so.
Skills Desired: No experience necessary but candidates must be self motivated, responsible, reliable, and committed. Drivers license required.
Meals: No
Stipend: Pay is $15/hr plus profit sharing and all the veggies you can eat/preserve for your household.
