Internship information
General Farm Description: Organic medicinal herb farm, flower gardens and pasture. We have slowly transitioned our flower farm and event space into a production herb farm. We sell wholesale and small scale to herbalists, tea companies, local businesses and herb students. Farm is ~ 12 acres in cover crop, pasture, perennials and annuals. Beautiful, quiet valley in western NC. No housing available as of now.CRAFT Member Farm? Yes

Internship Details:
We are looking for a part time farm worker to assist in production, harvest, and processing of medicinal herbs.
Job Necessities:
- Physically able to quickly and efficiently perform farm tasks in all outdoor conditions over a 8+ work day
- open to learning and positivity a must
- friendly + professional attitude a must
- able to work independently
- Reliable transportation to the farm
- Willing and able to take instruction in learning our farm systems and stick to the task at hand
- Willing and able to ask for help when unsure
- flexible days, but no Mondays
- pay starts at $16/hr for first 4 work days, up to $18/hr, if its a good fit.
Educational Opportunities: Include learning the ins and outs of a new-ish medicinal herb farm and being able to absorb knowledge on pasture farming. Opportunities to learn all about growing, harvesting, and processing medicinal herbs. Farm Worker will see crops they have sown in the greenhouse through planting and harvest. We are also always happy to talk flower farming too as that has been our background for the past 15 years!
