General Farm Description: Four Winds Farm is located twenty minutes from Mount Monadnock and five minutes from the center of the town of Peterborough, once known for its rich art history. We focus on providing the local community with grass fed, humanely raised, meat, milk, and cheese while working to restore the land and build better soil. Additionally, we support the local social/environmental justice movements through hosting educational and social events in historic and rustic studio/barn.CRAFT Member Farm? No

Internship Details:
If you are interested in learning how to work with a small dairy herd, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, plants and soil this is the perfect opportunity. We are seeking people who are able to lift fifty pounds and won’t completely wilt if it gets hot or rains. Dan and Ruth are the farmers and they have a wealth of wisdom to share through working with the land and animals for decades. Start and end dates and hours worked are flexible (their may be opportunities to get a small job in town if you are looking to make more money). Room , board, and stipend are provided.

Skills Desired: Good work ethic.
Meals: We provide farm produce, meat, milk, and cheese and a kitchen space. We also will share in community meals.
