General Farm Description: First Light Farm & Learning Center is a u-pick vegetable farm in the Snoqualmie Valley (Carnation) in Washington State. We focus a great deal of our energy of serving food insecure families through different programming.CRAFT Member Farm? No
Internship Starts: May-26
Internship Ends: October 2026 (negotiable)

Minimum Length of Stay: 2 months
Internship Details:
We are hoping at hire three interns this summer who are either passionate about food security or who have had some personal experience with it as that is the focus of our farming this season. We are able to pay our interns, but do not have local housing (sadly). If you’re interested in food security and would like to learn more about farming, please contact us. We’d love to talk with you!
Educational Opportunities: This is definitely a learned opportunity. Our field manager is adamant that this be a learning experience for all interns.
Skills Desired: enjoy physical work; good team skills, loves outdoor work; lover of the earth
Meals: WE are able to cook lunch by harvesting directly from the fields.
Stipend: Yes
Housing: Sadly no.
