General Farm Description: we are a small diverse family farm, with a 5 acre organic apple orchard and a small flock of milking sheep.CRAFT Member Farm? No

Number of Internship Available: 2. Ideal for a couple or pair opf friends as you will be sharing our farmhouse apartment

Internship Details:
The main job will be organic apple picking but also: wood splitting, sheep milking, pasture work, farmers markets, cider making, barn cleaning, light carpentry, plum and pear picking.
Educational Opportunities: Yes. As one of the few organic apple orchards in Vermont, this is a great opportunity to learn about organic apple growing and management. We are also hosting a "sheep camp" in August-- a weekend to learn all about sheep and small scale sheep dairying which farm helpers will be encouraged to attend.
Skills Desired: Our ideal candidates will have worked on farms before, and be comfortable with long days of working outside harvesting. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Carpentry experience a plus. We are willing to train the right person, someone with enthusiasm and a genuine interest in organic apple growing!
Meals: Shared lunches most days, dinner and breakfast on your own, access to farm produce.
Stipend: Yes, approx. $350/week
