Internship information
General Farm Description: Diversified, small mountain side farm using organic and biodynamic practices and management. Rotational garden plantings and pastured sheep and chickens. A small mixed planting orchard and large tract of woodland for maple syrup production and timber use. A sanctuary for bees and other pollinators. We are slowly transitioning to no til and are currently using very low till methods of production.CRAFT Member Farm? No

Internship Details:
Interns would be expected to put in 5 days a week, 8 to 430,for exchange of room and board. A small apartment above the farm store is available with running cold water, a cook stove and mini fridge. There is an out house close by and a full bath, toilet, sink, and shower, for use in the farm house across the street. Interns would participate in seed planting, both direct sow and in trays, greenhouse management(watering and operating and closing), bed preparation for crops, transplanting of crops, weeding, harvest and cleaning of produce. We also will be hosting a series of workshops and events this year ranging from bee box building to string band farm socials. We believe in fairness and are compassionate towards our help and community. We participate in farm tours with other farms close by that are connected with ours.
Educational Opportunities: Learn while living on farm. We are a part of a network of farms that share knowledge with each other and enjoy each other's company.
Skills Desired: A good attitude and work ethic is all that's needed.
