General Farm Description: The Farber Farm at Tamarack Camps is a 1 acre demonstration farm in service to summer camp and retreat center programming and food production. We grow an extremely diverse array of vegetables, herbs, flowers, and fruit beyond organic standards. The farm serves our on site dining facility as well as farm programming, community events and programs, and food pantries.CRAFT Member Farm? No

Internship Details:
The Farber Farm Summer Specialists are the education/farmhand team during the summer camp weeks (June-August 2026) at Tamarack Camps (MI). These (3) specialists are responsible for completing field work and implementing summer camp programs centered around a written farm curriculum as well as their own experience of farm related activities. Farm Specialists will work and report directly to the Farm Educator and Farm Manager to ensure that farm activities are running smoothly and at appropriate times (example: when and how to harvest certain crops, what and where to weed, correct program management etc.). Applicants do not need to have experience but should have an interest in food, farming, homesteading skills, sustainability, and experiential education. Start date flexibility, but no later than the second week of June.
This is the perfect role for anyone interested in homestead skills, cooking, farm/garden work, working with children of all ages, and being in a close knit community for the summer time.
Educational Opportunities: We will train you on all things: farming, herbalism, cooking, group management, experiential education, and more.
Skills Desired: While no prior farm experience is required, we do prefer to hire folks with foundational cooking knowledge. You must be excited to work with kids, volunteer groups, and a team of other farmers!

Stipend: Yes. We offer a cash summer salary and access to all farm produce
