Young Harvests Farm is dedicated to producing high-quality, organic fruits and vegetables while fostering a deep connection to the land and the community. Located in Charles Town, West Virginia, our farm spans 7 acres of fertile land, where we employ environmentally friendly practices to grow a diverse range of crops.
As an intern at Young Harvests Farm, you will be immersed in the day-to-day operations of a working farm. Our mission is to promote sustainable agriculture and educate future generations about healthy eating and environmental stewardship. We focus on regenerative farming techniques that enhance soil health and biodiversity, ensuring that we leave a positive impact on the ecosystem.
Interns will have the opportunity to engage in various aspects of farm management, including planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops; and participating in farm-market activities. We also prioritize community engagement, offering workshops and events that highlight the importance of local food systems and sustainable practices.
At Young Harvests Farm, we believe in providing a hands-on learning experience. Interns will work closely with experienced farmers, gaining valuable skills and knowledge in organic farming, crop management, and sustainable practices. We encourage creativity, teamwork, and a passion for agriculture, making this an ideal environment for aspiring farmers and agricultural professionals.
