Internship information
General Farm Description: We are a small scale family run market garden located in Redmond, Oregon. We use organic methods to grow a wide variety of vegetables for two local farmers markets and a handful of restaurants and farm-stands. We have about 2 acres in production and use minimal tilling practices so most of our work is all done by hand. Salad greens, tomatoes, and root crops are our main focus, we also grow a wide variety of other vegetables for the farmers market.CRAFT Member Farm? No

Internship Details:
We are looking for two interns that will help with all operations of the market garden. From seeding, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, washing and packing produce and going to at least one of our two farmers markets every week. We are hoping to find someone with a desire to learn how a small farm operates and play a crucial role in making it a productive and efficient system.
Educational Opportunities: Seed starting, transplanting, harvesting Organic fertilizer application Cultivation Farm management Marketing and sales
Skills Desired: Prior farming experience preferred but not required.
Meals: No but all the free produce will be available for you to take home everyday.
Stipend: Yes we start at $17 an hour.
