General Farm Description: Mariaville Farm was started started 35 years ago as a livestock farm raising pigs, Black angus cows and poultry. March 26,2023 our farm was destroyed by fire. We are now in rebuilding mode we are looking to build better not bigger. We are looking for 2 interns and anyone interested in short term projects.

Internship Details:

Feeding and caring for livestock

Fence building and rotational grazing

Assist with smoking and curing of meats

Help with the harvesting of hay and balage.

Help with construction of two new barns and machinery shed.

Assist with the farmers market

Assist with machinery repair.

 

Educational Opportunities: There is an Ag college within 30 min. of the farm.

Skills Desired: Looking for someone with willingness to learn farming and the farming life.

Housing: We have a trailer with running water and electricity but no internet.
