Internship information
General Farm Description: Quarter Spring Farm is a 65 acre farm located in Liberty, Tn. We are about 70 miles east of Nashville. We raise dairy goats, meat sheep, meat and egg chickens, a few ducks and plant a large garden every year. Our main source of income for the farm comes from our goat milk soap. The soap and other farm goods are sold at local farmer’s markets.CRAFT Member Farm? No

Internship Details:
This will be a seasonal position, November through the first of January. We are looking for someone to run a holiday booth selling our goat milk soap. The booth runs from November 12th-January 2nd. The intern will also help with animal husbandry and other light farm tasks throughout the week.
Educational Opportunities: Most days on the farm provides learning opportunities if you are open to it. We will teach you everything we know about animals, food, sustainability and business. We have a very diverse operation, and are always trying out new crops or methods. We will be learning about bees, foraging, and regenerative systems this year, and love sharing the learning experience.
Skills Desired: We would love someone with some farm experience but we are willing to teach the right candidate. The qualities that are most important to us in a potential intern are not skill specific or agriculture specific. Being a good communicator, being aware of one's strengths and weaknesses, and being a self-starter are crucial for our operation. Reliability and a curious mind are important to us as well.
