Internship information
General Farm Description: Coyote Farm is an 8 acre family run farm on Bainbridge Island, 40 minutes from Seattle. We operate a 5,000 sq. ft. vegetable garden as well as a 500sq. ft. green house, a large fruit orchard, several goats that we are hoping will be in milk this spring, and a small flock of chickens. We welcome guests to the farm through our air b n b as well as farm to table dinner clubs and brunch clubs throughout the summer. Our farm rests on one of the highest places on Bainbridge Island and we have a stunning view of the Olympic mountains when it is clear. We are a 6 minute car ride or 20 minute bike ride from the quaint downtown area, as well as the Seattle ferry dock. We are hoping to have classes/experiences this summer for people to interact with and learn about the farm. The farm is located just a quick 5 minute walk the Grand Forest, a fantastic network of hiking and biking trails that spans the island. There is an active wood shop on the property, building local furniture and processing local lumber. In summer of 2022 with the help of a few fantastic interns, we will be creating a new terraced herb garden area, as well as refining our raspberry patch. Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID. We are a smoke free farm.CRAFT Member Farm? No
