Interns are key team members who strengthen core program areas while participating in rich experiential learning. You’ll access curated learning resources, explore connections between soil, water, plants, animals, people, and communities—and share your learning with guests through tours, workshops, and conversations.

Internship Details:
HWF’s Farmstay Education program involves overnight stays in apartments, tents, and cabin for 30-60 guests per night. The intern will welcome guests, lead tours, take and post photos/video on social media, and assist with rental organization and cleaning. The intern will also assist with community campfires, pizza events, field trips, volunteer and other events and promotional and marketing work. This is a great opportunity to learn about regenerative agriculture, conservation, agritourism and hospitality through education and by helping guests understand the topics being learned through in-person conversations and online/social media content publication.
Educational Opportunities: Internship experience will require 35 hours per week time commitment
25 working in enterprises
5 hours space for learning (1 hr discussion, 4 hrs structured)
5 hours guest engagement (helping with workshops, assisting in tours, participating in events).

Meals: No meals, but unlimited access to market garden seconds, one dozen eggs per week, and venison if donated by hunters.
Stipend: $400 per month for 10 weeks = $1000 for full participation
Housing: On-farm housing with own bedroom, shared bath and kitchen.
