Building Soil Health With Cover Crops and Livestock for Vegetable Production

Join Practical Farmers of Iowa for this free field day with hosts Carmen and Maja Black. They’ll share current on-farm research they’re doing with PFI’s Cooperators’ Program, including a project to help them better understand how different manures, cover crops and grazing are affecting plant-available nitrogen in the soil. They will also discuss long-term and immediate strategies for improving soil health through reducing tillage, cover crops and grazing.
