Internship Details: Educational Opportunities: Farmers market sales and setup, seeding, soil blocking, weeding, composting, compost tea, mulching,drip irrigation systems, strawberry plant management, apple and pear production and thinning.
Skills Desired: Farming experience is a plus, but a desire to learn and a genuine interest in organic agriculture are all that is necessary. Must be able to lift 40 lbs, and work in all kinds of weather.
Meals: Shared meals will be mostly local, and all organic,celebrating what we have in season here.
Stipend: After a two week trial period, interns will receive $400 for the first month, $500 for the second month, and $600 for every month after that. Please see farm description for more details.
