Internship information
General Farm Description: Lo Tahoma is very secluded and private, it is an 18 acre Homestead of diverse land, south facing slope at 1,700 ft elevation, located just 5 miles away from the NW entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park. Lo Tahoma includes 15 acres of Forest land with walking trails and seasonal stream, 3 acres of open space, including house, cottage, wood shop, large vegetable garden including raspberries and a pond. We mill our own lumber from trees off our property using a portable sawmill and just last year opened our first campsite to the public advertising through Hipcamp: https://www.hipcamp.com/en-US/washington/lo-tahoma/cedar-grove-camp-near-mt-rainier. We like to share self-sustainable knowledge and skills that we have found enjoyable and very useful by hosting small, hands-on, intimate classes including foraging for nettles and soap making 4-5 times a year. We are very community oriented and are members of the Friends of the Carbon Canyon and encourage you to participate in meetings, road clean-ups and our annual celebration. https://www.facebook.com/Friends-of-the-Carbon-Canyon-1400723936840556CRAFT Member Farm?
