Internship information
General Farm Description: Oatka Creek Farm grows certified organic produce in LeRoy, NY on 20 acres of historic farmland along the Oatka Creek. We are certified organic by NOFA-NY and are located in Genesee County in Western New York State. We are located about 30 minutes southwest of Rochester, NY. We grow 4 acres of diversified vegetables and about 7 acres of cover crops per season. Our growing practices include using only organic, slow release inputs and never synthetic chemicals, fertilizers or herbicides. We focus on soil health to ensure that our crops are healthy and nutritious. We use a mix of hand methods and mechanization to ensure both quality and productivity. Most of our sales are direct-to-consumer through our free-choice CSA program, an on-site farm stand, weekly produce boxes, and the LeRoy Farmers Market. We also supply a few small wholesale accounts.CRAFT Member Farm? No
