General Farm Description: The Organic Farm School runs an annual vegetable production farm on Whidbey Island in Washington State. The farm grows food for our local food system, simultaneously providing a foundation for community education around food, the importance of farming, and the powerful role of eaters.

Summer Block participants jump into the season one-month at a time, living on the Farm and engaging in the work flow of propagation, cultivation, harvesting, processing, and distributing food. The fee for a one-month Summer Block is $750. Shared housing is provided, as is access to food from the field. Participants experience both the work of farming and the critical thinking that goes into it.
