Internship information
General Farm Description: We are a small flower farm located in Northern Orange County. We have been providing beautiful flowers to Carrboro, Chapel Hill and Durham for 20 years. Our primary sales outlet is the Carrboro Farmers' Market. In addition, we sell to several Weaver Street Markets, Chapel Hill Whole Foods, florists and several fine restaurants. Our season starts in January with tulips and other bulb crops coming out of the greenhouse. Using unheated hoophouses we produce anemones, ranunculus, snapdragons and several other specialty cuts. Field production includes peonies as well as spring and summer annuals like bachelor buttons, dianthus, marigolds, sunflowers and zinnias.CRAFT Member Farm? No

Internship Details:
We are looking for 1-2 energetic part-time folks who will work with an eye to detail and a sense of urgency. As with most farms, we work in a wide range of weather conditions- a positive attitude and sense of humor is really helpful. We work hard, but we have fun. Experience is not necessary. Duties include, but are not limited to, seeding, greenhouse work, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, bouquet making, market prep, irrigation set up and fence building.
