Internship information
General Farm Description: Share the Harvest Farm is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that donates fresh local produce to community organizations on the East End of Long Island. We currently farm five acres using organic practices, with emphasis on sustainable farming methods. In addition to donating food, we offer a low-cost CSA designed to target local and often forgotten middle-class families. During the height of our season, our farm also runs a small roadside farm stand which sells freshly picked local produce, as well as local artisanal products from our farm and surrounding merchants to the high-end summer crowd visiting our area. All proceeds from the farm stand fund the charitable operations of Share the Harvest Farm.CRAFT Member Farm? Yes
