Internship information
General Farm Description: Certified Organic diversified vegetable market farming using low till practices with two flocks of layer chickens. The farm also grows some fruit and flowers for markets and farmstand.CRAFT Member Farm? No
Internship Starts: 1-Apr
Internship Ends: Oct (30) or Through Nov
Number of Internship Available: 3
Application Deadline: 15-Mar
Minimum Length of Stay: 4-5 months
Internship Details:
Seeking a full time intern from Apr 1 -Oct/Nov. We prefer applicants with one year farm experience but are willing to train the right person. Ideal applicants will be responsible hard working individuals who can work outside in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Duties- Chicken chores, attending farmers markets, field work/maintenance, working in the farmstand, and harvest/ wash pack.
Amenities- On farm dorm style living, washer and dryer, employee discounts, learning opportunities (bee class) & some food allotment
Pay- 15/hour
Educational Opportunities: Possible classes from fellow farmers.
Skills Desired: Farm experience is greatly appreciated but not required.
Meals: No
Stipend: Interns are paid 15/hr
