**Position Summary:**
As a Grazing Shepherd, you will be responsible for managing and caring for our livestock while ensuring sustainable grazing practices are upheld. This role requires extensive travel and overnight stays throughout Arizona, working in various terrains and climates. The ideal candidate will have a passion for agriculture, animal husbandry, and conservation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Oversee and manage grazing activities for livestock across multiple locations.
– Monitor livestock / dog’s health and well-being, providing care and treatment as needed.
Including moving net style fencing to support targeted grazing.
– Implement rotational grazing strategies to optimize pasture health and productivity.
– Work closely with landowners and agricultural teams to assess grazing conditions.
– Maintain accurate records of livestock movements, health, and grazing patterns. Including birth records, growth records, and project records.
– Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to livestock management.
– Conduct regular inspections of grazing areas and report any issues or concerns.
