Practical Farmers of Iowa’s Savings Incentive Program supports beginning farmers in creating successful farm businesses. Over two years, program participants receive guidance to create a business plan, build a network, and invest savings in an account. Practical Farmers of Iowa provides a match for those savings, up to $4,000, when participants complete program requirements. Applicants must be a farmer or farm operator with less than seven years of experience, reside in Iowa or farm in Iowa or adjoining states, and be a member of Practical Farmers of Iowa.
