Healthy Soils for Strong Farms

The Osceola–Lake Conservation District is hosting “Healthy Soils for Strong Farms,” a full-day educational event bringing world-class soil health expertise to northern Michigan. Speakers Ray Archuleta, Monte Bottens, and Dr. Matt Poore will deliver practical, field-tested insights that farmers can apply—whether they manage row crops, hay, pasture, or livestock. Attendees will learn how healthy soils strengthen farm resilience, reduce input dependence, and support long-term profitability.
