Southwest Region

Our Southwest Regional team serves Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah.

This team specializes in soil health for water conservation and building local food system capacity. This team’s areas of expertise include soil health, organic production and marketing, arid-land regenerative grazing, local and regional food systems, hot-and-humid-area cover crops, and Spanish-language outreach. 

Our Southwest team developed and led NCAT’s Soil for Water project, focusing on ways to capture and hold more water in agricultural soils. This team offers practical solutions to the challenge of water shortages and chronic drought conditions in the American Southwest.
