A recently completed Northeast SARE Professional Development Program grant project created a one-stop shop for anyone looking to learn (or teach) about developing a silvopasture operation to enhance the productivity and the resilience of active pasture. During the course of this project, the team produced several publications that are available online, including The Investment Case For Silvopasture, a 19-page whitepaper diving into the reasons professionals should consider investing in silvopasture, and The Grazier’s Guide to Trees: How to Integrate Silvopasture for Resilience and Profit, 2nd Edition, a comprehensive guide on the use and establishment of trees in pastures, for the benefit of serving livestock systems. In addition, a collection of Silvopasture Tree Species Profiles from Trees for Graziers is available for download.
