The Quivira Coalition is accepting applications for its New Agrarian Program until December 6, 2026. The New Agrarian Program provides training and support for the next generation of land stewards, graziers, and food producers, through land-based learning, mentorship, and a thriving intergenerational community that is invested in seeing the next generation steward our lands into the future. The program partners with ranches and farms around the West to offer eight-month apprenticeships for beginning agrarians. The apprentice gains knowledge by working for and learning from their mentor, but also through a variety of program offerings to complement their education. Apprentices work full-time from March/April until November, and take part in many of the activities necessary for the daily operation of the ranch or farm.
