Minnesota Seeks Public Comment on Rules for Neonicotinoid-Treated Seed

Under court order, Minnesota Department of Agriculture is seeking public comments to assist the agency in determining whether Minnesota’s rules regarding the use of neonicotinoid-treated crop seeds are adequate to protect natural resources. Specifically, the agency is asking whether Minnesota Rules Chapter 1505 is adequate to protect Minnesota’s natural resources from pollution, impairment, or destruction allegedly resulting from the use of neonicotinoid-treated crop seeds. Commenters are asked to provide applicable information and supporting evidence. The comment period is open until July 31, 2026.
