Internship Details:
We had an early start to spring this year and we are well on our way to summer crops. We are looking to bring a few people on to the farm to help with the cultivation and ultimately the harvest of this seasons’ crops. We are located along the Trinity River in an ideal growing location. Are you interested in hard work and learning farm skills in a beautiful location?
We are a small farm, but move a lot of produce to local and regional markets as well as farmers markets. Farm work is physically demanding work, so applicants need to be fit and capable of lifting 50lbs. Willingness to work outside in any type of weather is a must. Successful candidates must be able to work well with others as well as complete tasks on their own. Some of the duties include harvesting, weeding, hoeing, transplanting, and farm maintenance. Previous farm experience is not required. More important is a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Resume’ and references are required. A phone interview will be arranged with qualified candidates. A three day trial will be conducted to see if there is mutual agreement the job is a good fit.
