Internship Details:
We are seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to support day-to-day farm operations and help the owners improve systems.
The role requires assistance with:
Fieldwork: from bed preparation to harvest
Installation and maintenance of farm infrastructure
Crop plan execution, including successions, and basic record keeping
Produce processing: washing, packing, storage, and quality control
Tool maintenance and upkeep
Weeding and managing pest pressure
Managing volunteers
Requirements
Must be physically able to perform strenuous, outdoor farm work in varying weather conditions
Strong organizing skills
Experience with a BCS or other walk-behind tractors
Experience with small engine maintenance
Market gardening experience and familiarity with specialty crops
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a small team
Willingness to leverage technology when appropriate
