Ben and Hannah Offenburger farm in southern Iowa, raising corn, beans, alfalfa, and cattle. They are part of PFI’s nitrogen rate trial and are using that data to lower their nitrogen inputs where they can. The Offenburgers have started a cut-flower enterprise this year. Come to this free Practical Farmers of Iowa field day to hear what the Offenburgers have learned from this new endeavor. We’ll also hear how they use data from the nitrogen rate trial to reduce their inputs and see how they practice intensive rotational grazing with their cattle.
