Marbleseed presents an opportunity to visit its Changemaker award winner, Sharing Our Roots (SOR) Farm in Northfield, MN. This innovative organization is doing great work around cultural agricultural practices, community-based farming, and land restoration. The day includes a land walk, free lunch, and tours by two SOR farmers. Khalid Elhassan is a member of the Sudanese Farming Group that operates at SOR; he’ll present on the cultural sheep grazing practices he uses to manage his plot and sheep herd. Erika Gomez, owner of La Tía Farm that operates at SOR, will present on cultural growing practices from Mexico and her market experience running her own farm business as an immigrant woman.
