Macy Joined the NCAT team in 2026 as a Technical Assistance Provider for the Wool Quality Improvement Program and Advancing Markets for Producers. In this role, she assists sheep producers that are enrolled in NCAT’s conservation programs and supports woolgrowers throughout the intermountain west.
Macy grew up on a 4th generation ranch in Meeker, Colorado where her family raises sheep, goats, cattle, and horses. From a young age, she became well-versed in raising various livestock species and ranch management. In college she judged livestock competitively for Hutchinson Community College and the University of Wyoming. At UW, she joined the wool judging team and quickly developed a passion for the wool industry.
Her previous employment at the MSU Wool lab allowed her to work closely with woolgrowers and cultivated her love for sheep and wool production. She currently lives in Butte, Montana with plans to start her own flock soon.
