National Young Farmers Coalition is introducing a new initiative, the Next Generation Farmer Fund, that provides direct financial support and technical assistance to beginning farmers and ranchers under the age of 40 who are stewarding land through sustainable farming practices. The Fund offers $10,000 to $50,000 grants, including conservation technical assistance, directly to young farmers and ranchers across the country with a focus on soil health, water management, energy use, and/or biodiversity initiatives that would make a meaningful and sustainable impact on their operations and the land. Applicants must be under 40 and producing food or fiber in the United States or U.S. Territories in 2027, and the practices being implemented must be new to the land concerned.
