New York Beginning Farmer Competitive Grant Program

New York Farm Viability Institute is accepting applications for $1.7 million in funding available through the Beginning Farmer Competitive Grant Program. This program supports beginning farmers in building financially sustainable, independent, commercial agricultural enterprises throughout New York State. New York farmers with 10 years or less of experience can apply. Funds can be used for start-up, improvement or expansion of farm operations, purchase of land, machinery, equipment, or livestock, worker training, marketing initiatives, and more. Track 1 funds projects of $5,000 to $50,000 and Track 2 offers funding up to $200,000.
