General Farm Description: Johnson's Backyard Garden is a 200 acre mixed vegetable farm. We are certified organic, as well as GAP certified. Our farm operates year-round and grows over 200 different varieties of mixed vegetable, fruit, and herb crops for a variety of outlets including farmers' markets, CSA, restaurants, and wholesale.

Internship Details:

We are looking for an experienced farm worker/equipment operator to join our team. We’re looking for someone with experience driving tractors, cultivating, spraying, and general equipment operation. This candidate should have experience with general preventative maintenance. This position is not rigid, and applicants should be ready to help on all aspects of our farm operations including: greenhouse work, transplanting, cultivation, and harvesting

Educational Opportunities: There are ample opportunities for on-farm learning.

Skills Desired: Applicants should have at least 1, preferably 3+ years of farm experience. Applicants should have experience with tractor operation, and should have a background (formal or informal) in horticulture.

Meals: No.

Stipend: This is a paid position - Pay is competitive depending on experience.
