General Farm Description: Location: Nestled in the scenic Little Miami River valley in Southwest Ohio, our 40-acre organic vegetable farm boasts a picturesque setting where nature thrives and crops flourish. Surrounded by rolling hills and fertile soil, our farm is a testament to the beauty and bounty of the region. About Us: As a family-owned operation, we are deeply rooted in our commitment to sustainable agriculture and organic farming practices. With a passion for nurturing the land and providing fresh, nutrient-rich produce, we take pride in serving our local community with the highest quality vegetables. Our farm was started by Guy and Sandy Ashmore in 1992 who believed in the goodness of organic farming and committed to clean food, community, and honoring the land through sustainable stewardship. Over thirty years later, their son and his wife, Conard and Kelsey Ashmore, have partnered with their vision to continue the family business. Our Offerings: Farm Shop: Visit our on-site farm shop, where you can peruse a vibrant array of freshly harvested vegetables. From crisp greens to heirloom tomatoes, our shelves are stocked with the season's best offerings. Local Distribution: Our produce finds its way to the tables of discerning customers at nearby grocery stores and restaurants. We prioritize partnerships with local businesses to ensure our vegetables are accessible to all. Farmers Market: Join us at the Deerfield farmers market, where we showcase our bounty alongside other local growers and artisans. Experience the camaraderie of the market community while selecting the freshest produce for your weekend meals. CSA (Community Supported Agriculture): For those seeking a direct connection to the farm, our CSA program offers the opportunity to receive a weekly share of seasonal vegetables. Experience the joy of eating with the seasons and supporting local agriculture through our CSA membership. Our Farming Practices: At That Guy’s Family Farm, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We prioritize soil health, biodiversity, and ecological stewardship to ensure the long-term vitality of our land. Our commitment to organic farming practices means that you can trust the quality and purity of our produce, knowing it was grown with care and respect for the environment. We are certified organic through OEFFA and the Real Organic Project.
