Internship Details:

We are looking for someone that has some farming experience and has come to the conclusion that they really really really want to be a farmer and realize it is a lifestyle not a job. We are in our mid 50ies and are hoping to find a person or a couple that are interested in taking over from us. Learn from us what we know and then eventually take over our operation.

Educational Opportunities: Learn from us what we know. Keith has been a dairy farmer his whole life. Selma has raised sheep, pigs and chickens for 20 years and run the creamery for 7 years. We have very high standards when it comes to animal husbandry and would like to pass that on to the next generation. We do all the maintenance on our farms ourselves. Lots of life skills to pass on.

Skills Desired: It would be nice if you had experience working with animals. But a passion for animal husbandry is a must.

Meals: We would provide you with most of your food needs. We have meat, vegetables and grains to share but you will cook your own meals.

Stipend: no. But we could give you the space to earn your own $. Such as raising and selling meat birds, pigs and/or go to a farmers market with dairy products.

Housing: yes. There is a 3 bedroom double wide on the farm.
