Internship Details:

Goat Doe and Kid caretaker. In charge of kidding operations, baby goat care, and feeding operations. This person would assist with birthing, baby goat health, keeping records, health and medical upkeep, trimming feet, disbudding, etc. Experience is preferred but for a willing applicant we will train in all aspects of goat care. Applicant will have the opportunity to learn the general operations of a goat dairy. Applicant will be working for an amazing organic goat dairy company who cares about the animals and the quality of the product. Some of the learning opportunities will be vet related, such as vaccines and birthing. Other opportunities will be learning the basic upkeep of goats, not to mention the perks of caring for babies. Room and board is provided. Farm is 8 miles from Bozeman, MT.

Educational Opportunities: Learn all aspects of a goat dairy and organic sustainable farm. Learn about animal nutritional care, health care, birthing techniques, milking, etc. Opportunity to also learn about value-added agriculture and sustainable practices,.

Skills Desired: Goat knowledge preferred but not necessary. Will train right applicant.

Meals: Community sharing of cooking meals. Plenty of organic food available.

Stipend: Room and board plus $1,500 per month.
