The Texas Center for Local Food has a new Simplified Business Planning course for farmers, available free at TXFED.org. In this course, you’ll work through the Lean Business Canvas, a foundational tool used to think through a business idea at its earliest stage. The course will help you apply this foundational tool to get your business ideas out of your head and onto paper. This course comes with a template and farmer examples to guide you in applying the planning tool to your local food business. The course is one of a series of trainings by and for farmers and farmers market organizers and available at TXFED.org. Courses are loaded with videos from peers, assessments, worksheets, and resources.
