General Farm Description: Philo Apple Farm is a small, diversified, multi-generational farm with a focus on our heirloom fruit orchard and all that we produce from its bounty. Located in Anderson Valley, Northern California right alongside the Navarro River and redwood forests.

Internship Details:

We are seeking two hardworking individuals to join our team this season at The Apple Farm. The workload is very diversified with orchardry being the main focus. Other jobs may include homestead scale animal husbandry, tending the farm stand, kitchen garden work, berry picking, landscaping, events and guest cottage tasks. Basic housing and sheltered, well-equipped camp kitchen on site. Commitment necessary March- November as well as prior farm work experience plus references. A great opportunity to be a part of the inner workings of a small scale family farm and food business!

Educational Opportunities: orchardry, animal husbandry, cheesemaking, kitchen garden, landscaping, agritourism, events, cider making, fruit packing, berry picking, farm stand tending and more

Skills Desired: Must have at least one season experience on a farm and ability to provide references

Meals: employees have access to staple food goods, farm produce and products. During harvest, one meal a week with the farm staff

Stipend: $14-16/hr depending on experience, minus room and board
